Connecting Three Sites and Taking Business Networking on the Road

The business needed its teams connected across permanent offices and temporary working locations. Its requirements spanned site connectivity, firewall configuration and a portable network that could be deployed without starting from scratch each time.

Innovacloud brought these requirements together, accounting for how the business operated in the office and away from it.

The office network needed to support everyday communication between locations. The mobile setup had a different constraint: routing, wired connections and wireless access had to fit into a cabinet that could travel and be put into service quickly.

Success depended on the details between the devices. Firewall settings, network configuration, cabling and startup procedures all had to work together so that the equipment was practical to operate.

Innovacloud configured business firewalls and established connectivity between the three sites.

For temporary locations, we built a portable cabinet around a Peplink router, switches and wireless access points. We preconfigured the equipment, organised the cabling and established a repeatable startup process.

Peplink PepVPN linked the office networks securely, with SpeedFusion providing WAN resilience and failover. Where supported by the router and available links, SpeedFusion Bandwidth Bonding combined connection capacity. The portable cabinet included a 5G backup connection, managed switches, segmented VLANs and preconfigured Wi-Fi access points.

The resulting setup combined the equipment and configuration needed for wired and wireless networking in a transportable unit. The business could take a prepared network to a location rather than assemble separate devices on arrival.
